There was a member in Elite Leads who was given a wealth of contacts for home loans. He initially promised to reciprocate, but as he became more and more successful, he completely forgot his initial promise. Then the referrals slowed down drastically and within one year he went from over thirty employees to only one. He’s no longer in business.
On the other hand, Jeff Rubin is still in busness and has more than tripled his revenues over the twenty years I have known him. He has been able to increase his rates as he has become more adept in choosing clients who are in tune with his ideals.
Could it be as simple as remember to thank those who refer you business? It doesn’t hurt, that’s for sure. It is definitely one of the major components of a successful entrepreneur.
